This is the weekly update on the real estate market conditions around Charlotte.   Our goal with these updates is to provide you facts of what is occurring during the current COVID-19 crisis.

It was a rebound week for homes under contract and showings in Charlotte.  Rules allowing Realtors to show homes that are vacant, as well as the use of video walk-throughs and 3D virtual tours have helped energize the market this week.

The statistics I provide below all come directly from the Canopy MLS system as well as ShowingTime for the City of Charlotte, NC.

Home Statistics: 4/6 to 4/12

  • 162 Homes Closed
  • 229 Homes Went Under Contract
  • 2,132 Showings

Home Statistics: 3/30 to 4/5

  • 264 Homes Closed
  • 172 Homes Went Under Contract
  • 815 Showings

Home Statistics: 3/23 to 3/29

  • 174 Homes Closed
  • 284 Homes Went Under Contract
  • 1,901 Showings

Home Statistics:  3/16 to 3/22

  • 255 Homes Closed
  • 351 Homes Went Under Contract
  • 4,656 Showings

Home Statistics:  3/9 to 3/15

  • 314 Homes Closed
  • 442 Homes Went Under Contract
  • 6,917 Showings

We saw 189+ homes listed in Charlotte in the last seven days, compared to 235+ the previous week.  This would be the fourth time in five weeks that new listings were lower than the total homes that went under contract.

Here are two examples of the 3D Virtual Tours we are currently using at My Charlotte Real Estate Agents with success:

92 Meadow Drive, Concord, NC, 28025

2904 Attaberry Drive, Charlotte, NC 28205

If you have any additional questions or if you would like information on any property in the Charlotte Metro and surrounding areas, I would be happy to help.  Also, if you have any questions on your property, or would like a CMA, please let me know.

Have a great week!
