Real Estate in Charlotte continues to remain HOT as sales and showings move forward quickly.   The statistics I provide below all come directly from the Canopy MLS system as well as ShowingTime for the City of Charlotte, NC.

The major news is that 447 homes went under contract, while only 368 new homes were listed.  That is the largest gap we have seen between the two numbers since we started tracking these results back in March.

Showings jumped up 14% from the previous week with 7,430 throughout Charlotte and even outpaced showings the same week in 2019 by 3%.

We've seen a definite jump in both buyer interest and viewings over the past several weeks. This has to do with pent-up demand, as well as with record-low mortgage rates.  As a result, bidding wars, which had almost disappeared before the pandemic, are back. Nationally 41% of homes sold in April experienced a bidding war. Compare that to just 9% back in January.

There's a big disconnect between very high levels of demand and very low inventory.  That means if you're thinking of selling, right now might be a golden moment to do so.
